Meal Drivers and Deliverers

Meal delivery takes place Monday through Friday with meals picked up for delivery between 10:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. depending on the location.  Delivery generally takes about one (1) hour to complete. A route sheet is provided with directions to each client. Routes average 12-13 clients and are located in defined areas of the community. Drivers use their own cars. Volunteers can deliver individually or with a partner.

Substitute Drivers

Meals on Wheels desperately needs qualified volunteers who are willing to substitute for absent full-time volunteers. Substitutes can stipulate what times they are available to work.

CareCaller

Volunteers telephone clients on non-delivery days to check on their well being. These volunteers are utilized mostly during the winter months when bad weather conditions make delivery impossible.
